The Shoe

Designed to provide support and comfort for the hours spent
shooting a round of sporting clays, the Sporting Clays Chukka fills that "what-should-I-wear" gap between a shoe and a boot. For decades our team at Russell has outfitted competitive shooters, and many of our craftsmen have shot competitively as well. Footwear for this purpose must be comfortable, stable, and dependable in the elements. Luckily the necessary characteristics for a good shooting shoe also carry over into many applications. The Chukka platform is an ideal starting point for a shoe meant for outdoor use as it is plenty tall to keep dust and leaves out of your socks, but still short enough to make lacing a breeze. It laces quickly and securely due to the four antique brass eyelets. The addition of a Molded Sole adds side-to side stability and has the benefit of making the bottom of the shoe more water-resistant. Beneath the shoe, a sturdy Double Stack Midsole furthers the stability of the shoe while ensuring the resoling process is simple. A favorite for Japanese street wear and avid sportsmen alike, the Sporting Clays Chukka has an unique chunky appearance that is a style of it's own.

The Construction

Configured as a lightweight Single Vamp moccasin with a Molded Sole, the Sporting Clays Chukka provides excellent footing for a wide variety of terrains. This unique construction supports and protects the sides and bottom of the foot as there are no seams penetrating the interior from the midsole to the side seam of the Molded Sole. A Double Stack Midsole provides excellent support and long term durability. 

This boot is a Premier Build, meaning that upon your order it will be put into production on a 8-12 week lead time.

Sizing Confidence: By ordering this boot you understand that if the fit is too large or small, you can exchange it within 30 days of delivery in unworn condition and we will put another pair into production for you in an adjusted size of your choice. Exchanges are limited to 1 per order and the production timeline for the second pair will be 8 weeks. Premier Builds are non-refundable.
